What
is PuriLens Solution? Can I use other solutions?
Natural PuriLens Solution is a pH-balanced, sterile, liquid solution that does
not contain any chemicals, preservatives, or enzymes. It is specifically designed
to work with the PuriLens Unit.
The effectiveness of other products with the PuriLens Unit has not been demonstrated
or clinically tested. Using any product other than PuriLens Solution in the unit
may affect the device performance and will void the warranty.
How do I use PuriLens Solution in
the new unit?
Fill the clear cleaning chamber to the bottom of the raised ring just below the
cap threads with PuriLens Solution. With normal usage, a 4-ounce bottle of PuriLens
Solution should last approximately one week.
How much does it cost to maintain
lenses with a PuriLens System?
After the initial purchase of the PuriLens System, with normal usage, PuriLens
Solution costs about 15% less to use than multipurpose solution brands.
The PuriLens System is about half the cost of a typical hydrogen peroxide or other
multi-step system.

How can I try the PuriLens System?
PuriLens offers a risk-free trial for you to evaluate the benefits of the PuriLens
System. Simply order PuriLens System and Solution to try with your patients. If
your patients don't like the System, return it to us, and we will replace the
system or credit your account.
My PuriLens unit is forming a yellow
to reddish brown color on the inside of the plastic around the bulb and on the
top of the lens basket. What causes this, and is it normal?
Yellow to reddish brown discoloration of the plastic is normal. The UV light that
disinfects your lenses causes the discoloration. It will not hurt the performance
of the system nor will the UV light affect your contact lenses. Your lenses are
shielded by the unique PuriLens basket and are not directly exposed to the UV
light. Your contact lenses will come out crystal clear, clean and disinfected
after every use.
To clean any build-up of discolored solution residue, moisten a soft cloth or
cotton swab with PuriLens Solution and gently wipe the area to remove it.
My PuriLens unit does not start
when I place the top on it. What should I do?
If the light does not come on immediately, check the cord to be sure that it is
firmly plugged into both the wall and the back of the PuriLens unit. Then remove
the top from the unit and replace it on the base of the unit. The light should
now be lit. Placing the top on the unit starts the unit. The correct sequence
in using the system is:

Plug converter into the wall plug.

Plug cord into back of converter.

Place top on unit to activate.
Unit may not start
or may not run the full 13 to 15 minute cycle if the top is placed on the unit
first and the converter is then plugged into the wall plug. If the light
does not come on after two or three attempts, following the above sequence, please
call PuriLens Customer Service at 1-877-PUR-LENS (1-877-787-5367).
How long should the PuriLens System
run?
The System was designed for one complete cycle to run from 13 to 16 minutes. The
average time is 15 minutes.
My lenses don't seem to be getting
clean. What should I do?
Make sure that you are filling the chamber with PuriLens Solution 1/8" above the
Lens holder or up to the threads on the side of the chamber and make sure that
you are using fresh PuriLens Solution.
If your lenses still are not being cleaned sufficiently, you may be a heavy depositor
and may need to manually rub your lenses with PuriLens Solution once a week. Our
Clinical studies showed that 96% of consumers experienced clean and clear lenses
with the PuriLens System. However, 4% of consumers (heavy depositors) needed to
manually rub their lenses with PuriLens Solution once a week.
The PuriLens System seems noisy.
Is this normal?
The PuriLens System may make a little noise or vibrate to the touch, but if the
noise seems excessive try the following:
- Make
sure the lens holder is sitting in the notches of the chamber.
- Make
sure that the lens baskets are snapped shut.
- Place
the lens holder in the alternate notches of the chamber.

Can
the PuriLens System be used overseas?
Yes it can. If you are traveling overseas don't rely on standard power converter,
only use the PuriLens 220-volt power adapter. It can be ordered by calling PuriLens/The Lifestyle Co., Inc.

There are specks of material rolling
around in the light bulb or the bulb is discolored. Is this normal?
Yes, both are normal.
How
does the PuriLens lifetime Warranty work?
The
PuriLens System comes with a 90-day limited warranty against faulty materials
and workmanship. This warranty does not include damage to the product resulting
from accident, misuse, improper installation, or operation.
The
PuriLens warranty will be extended for life provided that your patients you use only Purilens solution in the unit.
